KCSC Welcomes Officer Travis Schieber

                                                     


Corporal Travis Schieber "Officer Travis", with the Knox Police Department is the assigned SRO and brings many years of experience.  A School Resource Officer is a career law enforcement officer with sworn authority who is an employee of a police department, assigned to work in collaboration with one or more schools.

SRO’s are carefully selected and attend a variety of specific courses in order to certify them as School Resource Officers through the National Association of School Resource Officers.

The goals of well-founded SRO programs include providing safe learning environments in our schools, providing valuable resources to school staff members, fostering positive relationships with youth, developing strategies to resolve problems affecting youth and protecting all students, so that they can reach their fullest potentials.
