Prater Recognized by National Football Foundation
KHS Senior Jared Prater was recognized at the Edward W. "Moose" Krause Chapter National Football Foundation & Hall of Fame, Inc at the 46th Annual Scholar-Athlete Dinner on April 25, 2019. He is part of an elite group of 33 other Scholar-Athletes.

Coached by John Hendryx, Jared was a defensive back and running back for the Redskins. He has also been a member of the basketball and track teams. His 3.6 PGA ranks him 20th out of 135 in his senior class. Jared had 11 career interceptions and 12 pass deflections and also scored 8 touchdowns his senior year. He is a member of National Honor Society and Photography club. He has worked as a volunteer nursing assistant and flag football coach, and volunteered with the Pop Warner League. He is an IFCA Region II All-Star and IFCA first team All-State, and was selected to the All-Area team as defensive back. Jared plans to play football and study Biology at Valparaiso University next Fall.
